Peepers
The peepers were back last night. I am pretty sure this is earlier than usual but this winter was so cold it seems like we have been waiting for spring for a long time. It's a fool's spring out there with these record temps but we will take it! The doors will be wide open at the Cookeville Market this week and we will be welcoming you and the new season in many ways…..
We have baby lettuce mix, spinach, carrots, beets, sweet potatoes, cabbages, garlic, potatoes, onions, and Long Wind tomatoes. As always, we have a full selection of our pastured meats, eggs, local milk, yogurt and cheeses plus goodies galore from Marilyn's Kitchen.
We are skipping take out on Friday Night because we will be busy cooking for another Cookeville Coffee House which is this Saturday the 18th. A Celebration of local music and local food! This Coffee House will feature a collective of local musicians who will provide the soundtrack, improvising tunes and swapping songs. We will be cooking up an Italian Style Feast - Spinach Alfredo Lasagna, Bolognese Lasagna, A Spring Salad, Garlic Bread, and Tiramisu for Dessert. $24.00 for Adults and $12.
