Fair Time!
There is nothing quite like the Tunbridge World’s Fair. When the kids were little it was the true end of summer and the start of fall- often the first time you really needed to put on a hat in order to stay warm. In the years we showed sheep we were there for four days and time became a haze of maple cremes, oxen pulls, ride bracelets and nights spent under the florescent lights of the sheep barn. Some of you will recognize these young farmers and their sheep in the animal parade many years ago. We will be there again this year - soaking in the nostalgia. Maybe we will see you in the blooming onion line?
The Crossmolina Market will be stocked with fall spinach, arugula, lettuce, kale, rainbow chard, scallions, carrots, beets, radishes, tomatoes, potatoes, the last of our fabulous sweet corn, delicata squash, brussel sprouts, onions, shallots and leeks.
As always, we have a full selection of our pastured meats and eggs, local milk, yogurt and cheeses plus goodies galore from Marilyn's Kitchen. Freshly baked bread is now available on Thursday mid-day and on Friday afternoons. You can also pick up bread on Saturday mornings.
There is no Chelsea Farmers Market this week but we will be back for the final market the following week.
Open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8:30am till 6pm and Saturday 8:30 till 3pm.
