Autumn Time

We can’t stop looking at this Painted Mountain Flint Corn - it’s like holding leaf peeping season in the palm of your hand. We are currently drying it and will eventually make cornmeal out of it. Look for it in the market! The farm is slowly settling into the slightly slower rhythms and the beauty of the fall season. Cheers to wood stoves, warm stews and beautiful colors.

The Crossmolina Market will be stocked with spinach, arugula, lettuce, kale, rainbow chard, scallions, carrots, beets, radishes, tomatoes, potatoes, pumpkins, delicata squash, brussel sprouts, onions, shallots and leeks.

As always, we have a full selection of our pastured meats and eggs, local milk, yogurt and cheeses plus goodies galore from Marilyn's Kitchen. Freshly baked bread is now available on Thursday mid-day and on Friday afternoons. You can also pick up bread on Saturday mornings.

Are you headed to the Corinth Old Home Days on Saturday? Who can resist a parade and a picnic? The parade starts at 10 am and is followed by a quilt show at the town hall, cider pressing, apple bobbing, three legged races, a pie baking contest and a picnic in the town orchard. We will have our usual sandwich menu and special take out chicken dinners available to grab and go for the picnic (which is right across the road from the market). Lunches will include: Smoked Chicken Drumsticks, Potato Salad and an Apple Maple Coleslaw. Yum
