Dreaming of Green Things…
The veggie crew is looking at the forecast for this week and we are ITCHING to get into our greenhouses and harvest some overwintered greens (the fact that some of them made it through this winter makes them taste even better) and get rolling with re-seeding our early spring greens. We will be firing up our heated propagation house too and seeding cabbages, herbs, broccolini and even tomatoes. We are so excited for the season and can’t wait to feed you all!
Our Cookeville Market is stocked with carrots, beets, parsnips, sweet potatoes, cabbages, garlic, potatoes, onions, tomatoes from Long Wind Farm, a full selection of our pastured meats, eggs, local milk, yogurt and cheeses and goodies galore from Marilyn's Kitchen.
We have fresh bagels on Thursdays and on Saturday we have fresh bread from Bright Sun Kitchen in Bradford.
Burger Night last week was a success and it was great to see so many of you come out! This week will be a burrito night Friday. Stop by between 5 and 6pm at the Cookeville Market and order a burrito to take home. Makes for a happy Friday!
