Lambs In The Kitchen

If we look a little sleepy this week its because we are are deep into lambing season. Most of our ewes manage on their own and take care of their little lambs with no help but we are always on the look out for any issues , particularly  with the cold and snowy weather. This means early morning and late night barn checks  and the occasional need to warm someone up by the wood cook stove in the kitchen, This little guy is twin with a new mom and was in the house this Sunday to recover from being a little too cold and a little hungry.

Our Cookeville Market is stocked with carrots, beets, parsnips, sweet potatoes, cabbages, garlic, potatoes, onions, tomatoes from Long Wind Farm, a full selection of our pastured meats, eggs, local milk, yogurt and cheeses and  goodies galore from Marilyn's Kitchen.

We have fresh bagels on Thursdays and on Saturday we have fresh bread from Bright Sun Kitchen in Bradford.

Burrito Night last week was a success and it was great to see so many of you on such a snowy night.  This week will be a burger night Friday. Stop by  between 5 and 6pm at the Cookeville Market and order a burger to take home. Makes for a happy Friday!
