Time Flies….
Time flies ! First of all - Wendell is almost six feet tall! AND - It was five years ago this February that we decided to open a little farm store in the old free store next to the post office. It was tiny, unheated and very rudimentary. By the time we actually opened in May 2020, the pandemic was in full swing and the market became a vital part of our little town in ways that we never imagined possible. We have been honored to see how market has really changed the way people feel about buying local food - it has help folks experience first hand how important and inspiring it is to really know the person who grows your food and it has helped connect our community to the land, their food and each other - one meal at a time.
Save the date! We will be throwing a Birthday Party for the Market on May 17th - Farm-raised brats, burgers and salads and Birthday cake for sure - more details to follow!
This week we will be restocked with the last of our storage carrots (we already planted more in a greenhouse so we should have more in June!), celeriac, sweet potatoes, red and white potatoes, cabbages, spinach, baby kale, spring dug parsnips, a full selection of our pastured meats, treats to tempt us all from Marilyn's Kitchen and a full line up of local cheeses, milk, yogurt and our very own eggs.
