Milestones

Time is flying by - seems like mud season ended yesterday and here we are almost to the summer solstice - the crops are (almost) all in the ground, the animals are all out to pasture and if you listen carefully you can almost hear the grass growing.

It’s not just “farm time “ that is flying….Our oldest, Keelan, graduated from college on Sunday. (Pictured above weeding cabbages at 12 years old). Hard to believe this little guy is all grown up.

Join us this Saturday  rain or shine for farm to table pizza, salads and desserts  and live music from Derek Burkins and his trio (Tim Berry on fiddle and Mitch Barron on bass). Derek has been a pizza night favorite for many years.  Seven Days sums it up the best..."Burkins combines an emotionally measured, straightforward songwriting style with polished instrumental chops and a powerful, emotive voice.” “He also happens to be blessed with tone and timbre that would be compelling even if he were singing the instruction manual for a smartphone.”

Call the farm at the number below or email me with "Pizza Night" in the subject line. Pizza starts at 5pm and music at 6pm.

At the Cookeville Market this week - fresh greens,  radishes, farm grown cucumbers, broccolini, baby zucchini, treats from Marilyn, local cheese and farm-raised meats. .So many reasons to come on down to the Cookeville Market!

Did we mention that Ice Coffee and BLTs are back on the lunch menu -  a sure sign of summer!
