Goodbye Summer Hello Fall!

It really is the end of summer. Luke and Margaret went to the Thetford Labor Day parade and passed out carrots sweet enough to compete with all the candy. Had a great time!

Thanks to all of you for a great season of pizza nights. We are already looking forward to next season and we will miss you all - come see us at the Cookeville Market and stay tuned for our line up of fall events which we will be posting next week.

Loads of End of Summer Eats at the Cookeville Market this week and some signs of fall too....fresh greens, green beans, pumpkins, delicata squash, sweet and hot peppers, leeks, broccolini,  zucchini, summer squash, tomatoes, garlic, basil, new potatoes, fresh onions, our very own late season strawberries, melons and on Thursday and Friday we will have Sweet Corn and the first apples of fall!

And did we mention TOMATOES!!! We have a BUMPER crop of beautiful tomatoes and have sauce tomatoes available at super reasonable rates -freeze them for later or make sauce on one of these lovely cool days. We also have garlic and herbs if you need them! Email margaret or call the farm at the number below and we can have them ready for you!

We always have treats from Marilyn, local cheese and our farm-raised meats. So many reasons to come on down to the Cookeville Market!
