Feeding Us All

Our farm has always worked to make fresh, local food accessible to everyone. One of the most important ways we do that is by partnering with the Northeast Organic Farming Association’s Farm Share Program. Folks sign up with NOFA who provides payment for part of a CSA Share at our Farm. If the customer can, they pay a portion and then the farm also pitches in a portion. Many of you have noticed the Communitree on the extra door at the store - we created it last winter as a way to help folks help other folks — a meal for someone who is sick, a donut and coffee for someone who needs a little pick me up…

Right now we are calling on folks to add some leaves to the tree to help us fund the Five CSA Cards that we donated through the NOFA Farm Share Program This year. It’s a great way to help your neighbors and to help your farmers help your neighbors. Ask one of us for more details when you are at the store this week and thanks in advance for helping us keep up the C in Community Supported Agriculture!

The Fall Veggies are all here Cookeville Market this week...spinach, fall braising mix,  brussel sprouts, cabbages, pumpkins, carrots, assorted winter squash, sweet and hot peppers, leeks, broccolini, cauliflower,  garlic, apples, apple cider, potatoes, sweet potatoes and freshly dug parsnips!

We always have treats from Marilyn, local cheese, our pastured eggs, and our farm-raised meats. So many reasons to come on down to the Cookeville Market!  

Our pastured turkeys are going fast! Reserve yours today by replying to this email, stopping by the store, or going to the "sign up" page at crossmolinafarm.com! These are fresh birds and pick up is at our Cookeville Market on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.
