Our son Keelan had a mountain bike accident last Thursday. It was a serious crash and we were in the hospital with him last Friday. Our wonderful farm crew, with help from Keelan's brothers and some dear friends, pulled off picking and packing the CSA and finished the week's work in the fields. This week members of Keelan's Ford Sayre Nordic Ski Team came out to the farm to help and many of our friends and family also pitched in and helped with everything from weeding to driving and laundry. Keelan is home and on the mend and, as we look back over the past week,we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the wonderful community we have around our farm and our family. We are feeling the C in the CSA and can't thank you all enough!
This week we will have Music from Still Hill at pizza night and farm raised cocktails from Hooker Mountain Distillery. Should be a stellar late summer evening - complete with crickets, a campfire and the first tomatoes.
CSA customers this week can expect:
Hot and Sweet Peppers
