Here comes the sun!


The farm stand and pizza nights are in full swing - we have a great new tent in case it rains! We have a spectacular summer line up of local, acoustic music! This Friday we have Marvin Rodgers on the hammered dulcimer accompanied by Dave Richards. Come by and celebrate the warming temperatures! Try an asparagus and fiddle head pizza.....

The farm stand will be stocked with greens, radishes, eggs, Blythedale Cheeses, Asparagus from Green Reaper Farm and our own naturally leavened bread.

Pizza starts at 5pm. Music starts at 6pm.

This week in the CSA we lave LOTS of greens:

Beet Greens

Head Lettuce

Tuscan Kale

Tatsoi

Pea Shoots

Spinach

Fresh Herb Bundle - oregano or chives

This time of year local eating means lots and lots of greens. Think of them as an elixir for all the months we don't have any green around here! What to do with them all? Beet Greens and Tatsoi are great in smoothies. Both have a sweet, nutty flavor. Make a stir fry with Tatsoi and peanuts and add the pea shoots at the last moment or eat your pea shoots right out of the bag on the way home! Try a rice bowl with some freshly steamed spinach or kale.....
